For all you connoisseurs of advertising...

Is Romney "Misleading"? -Perry ad (video)
Aside from the lawn care kerfluffle, there seem to be many contradictions by Romney as to whether Romneycare was the model for Obamacare. (It was. Mitt used to brag about it.) And whether or not Mitt advocated Romneycare or its equivalent for the entire country. (He did. Now he's running from that position.)
If anyone thinks I may be breaking Reagan's "eleventh commandment", just consider that this video and more even worse, no doubt, will be used by the opposition in 2012, should Mitt become our standard bearer. The primaries are a time for vetting. Let's vet our candidate this time around, so we don't have a repeat of 2008.

Obama Fried Chicken?
The Chinese are not world renowned for respecting copyright and intellectual property distinctions. Still, it looks like someone is ripping off Colonel Sanders and using a caricature of Obama to do it. Hence the "O" in "OFC"?
Or is this, perhaps, a partial payback on our Chinese debt?
Don't let Michelle find out Barry's fronting for fried foods!
"You definitely DON'T want fries with that!"

Budweiser 9/11 Tribute (video)
I saw this on TV this AM. An oddly touching tribute to 9/11 in a beer commercial.

The King is Dead (Burger King, that is!)
...about frikken' time!
Burger King has decided to 86 the creepy guy in the plastic head.
In the first of many steps to reinvent itself over the next year, the struggling fast-feeder Friday will announce that it's dethroning the creepy King character — and other wacky, teen-targeting stuff — and refocusing on a customer it had all but forgotten: Mom.
In a new ad campaign set to air this weekend, Burger King will nationally roll out the California Whopper on Monday, made with what's arguably the gastronomic trend of 2011: guacamole. In a serious image twist, the entire commercial shows only the sights and sounds of the fresh ingredients being washed, sliced and diced. There are no words, just pulsating music.
Although, who can forget the high point of his career?

E-Trade Baby Loses Everything
Caution: There is a little course language, insufficiently bleeped for you to know exactly what he's saying. But, if you can get by that, it's as funny as it can be, given the underlying reality of the situation.
